I most enjoy working with entrepreneurs, executives, creatives, and other professionals who are experiencing challenges at work or in their personal lives. I especially like entrepreneurs and business owners, partly because I am one (so, I get it!), and partly because they tend to be ambitious, dynamic, resourceful, and highly motivated to solve problems, obtain skills and put them to use. My clients are often struggling to achieve some semblance of work/life balance, maintain focus and motivation, manage competing demands and responsibilities, and clarify their goals and values.
I also like to work with individuals who are experiencing difficulty in their relationships. I don’t practice couples therapy (though I do have training in that modality), but relationships and sexuality are a central component of personal identity and fulfillment, and so I find that work to be rich and engaging. I especially enjoy working with sexual minorities including gay and lesbian clients, and individuals in nontraditional relationships. I believe that we all have the right and responsibility to determine the types of relationships that serve us best, and I help my clients do this.
