Jamie Kerby, Ph.D

Psychological Associate, 94028633

I serve adults and youth who’ve experienced trauma, mood disorders (like depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, etc), women’s issues, relationship issues, mindfulness and meditation, and severe mental illness, as well as other problems they might face. I help my clients identify what they want in their lives and help guide them to those goals.

My approach

I believe in a strength-based, person-centered approach to therapy. I work alongside my clients to address challenges, celebrate their successes, and acknowledge their progress, which I find crucial to the therapeutic process. Everyone is unique and different, so the therapy framework I use is based on the needs and goals of each person I work with.

Why I love this work

I am committed to and passionate about being a supportive presence, a compassionate listener, and a partner in my clients’ journeys towards healing and wellness. I love watching my clients grow throughout our work together, and it helps me grow too! Witnessing my clients succeeding gives me great joy and motivates me in my work.

What I want for you

I want you to live the life that’s right for you. In therapy, I aim to help you lessen your problems, have more happiness, and learn how to cope better with problems when they do arise. I want you to feel supported and that you have someone on your team during this journey so that at the end of our work together, you can feel confident in yourself and the progress you’ve made.

My specialties, background, and personal interests

My specialties include trauma/PTSD, other types of anxiety, mindfulness and meditation, relationship issues (including relationship violence), women’s issues, and mood disorders such as depression. My background includes working at community mental health settings and school counseling for elementary school-aged kids. My personal interests include art, music, and being out in nature. If folks share some of these interests, I like to incorporate them into our work together (for example: art therapy).
