My approach

Therapy is a collaborative and relational process. The therapeutic relationship that we develop will be an important component in helping you work through negative core beliefs while retaining and building upon the existing healthy, positive ones. My job is to help create an environment where you can feel safe discussing and exploring your thoughts and feelings so that I can help you best achieve your goals. To do this, we will work to identify your core (deeply-rooted) beliefs, both those that support you and those that unwittingly create obstacles in achieving these goals, often based on fears, shame, anxiety, and guilt. My approach is individualized based on a client’s therapeutic needs. Every client is different, even when sharing the same diagnosis or problem area, and together we will work to identify and build upon what works best for you.

Why I love this work

I love everything about this work. It is an honor to earn people’s trust enough to be able to help them. It is incredibly profound and rewarding to work with a client collaboratively and to see them grow, progress, and achieve what they want and deserve. People’s stories are so diverse. It is amazing to learn about and understand another human being at a deeper level and then to be able to make a real difference in their lives.

What I want for you

I want you to be good with your authentic self. I want you to be able to pursue your passions and dreams. I want you to know yourself and accept yourself. I want you to be unburdened from your past traumas, excessive fears, excessive guilt, shame, and constraining negative self-concepts so that you can be freer to pursue your potential and create the life you desire.

My specialties, background, and personal interests

Specialties include Psychological Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Substance Use, Anger Management, Mood/Psychotic Disorders, Relationship Issues, Self-Concept/Self-Esteem/Identity Issues.
