I also specialize in working with the LGBTIQIA+ population, individuals with personality disorders, individuals with complex trauma or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and individuals with identity concerns related to race/ethnicity, gender expression, intergenerational trauma, socialization, etc. I also specialize in working with attachment trauma and those who have experienced attachment wounds, those who experience relationship stressors, and individuals experiencing concerns related to intimacy. I also serve clients seeking a gender-affirming therapist, a neurodivergent friendly therapist, and a sex positive therapist.
My Approach
As a clinician, I utilize an integrative approach that focuses on collaboration with clients that is built on safety, humility, transparency and empathy. While my approach is tailored to a client’s individual needs, goals, and what may best help them grow in the therapeutic space, I have used a wide range of modalities. These include: psychodynamic therapy, attachment therapy, brief psychodynamic therapy, humanistic therapy, acceptance and commitment based therapy, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure therapy, narrative therapy, Liberation Psychology, Feminist Therapies, art exercises, and play exercises. I truly believe in the power of bringing the unconscious into conscious awareness as well as the power of the therapeutic dynamic which can highlight areas of growth and strength for each client.
Why I Love This Work
I wanted to become a therapist at the age of 15 given life experiences that provided me with the opportunity to experience individual therapy and its power of healing and growth. As a therapist, I am humbled, honored, and privileged to be able to provide therapy services to clients, and this is something that I do not take for granted. I have enjoyed collaborating with clients and being a part of their journey, whether it’s for a short period of time or a longer duration. My heart has been touched by client situations in which a client believes they can never heal, grow, or prosper and then they do through hard work and dedication inside and outside of the therapy space. It’s not only about the journey in the therapy space but the power of each client’s story and the vulnerability it takes to share their story. I covet people feeling safe enough to share their story with me and it’s something that is deeply meaningful, not only as a therapist but as a human being.
What I Want For You
What I want for my clients depends on their overall desires, needs, and goals. However, I want each client to live in their truth, be authentic in how they navigate the world, utilize their voice, and be able to heal from past experiences. I want clients to experience healthy relationship dynamics, solid identities, and not be afraid to be their authentic self. I also want clients to become aware of unconscious dynamics and how that interconnects with their experiences in the world. Together, we can create a journey that enhances your growth, creativity, healing, voice, or whatever you desire from the therapy space.
