I specialize in treating individual struggling with substance use disorders and other co-occurring disorders including anxiety, PTSD, mood disorders, and relationship issues. Additionally, I treat sexual dysfunctions and intimacy issues. Many of my clients I treat have been using negative coping skills to relief themselves of emotional pain and/ or are unable to enjoy life in a healthy manner. My goal is to teach my clients healthy coping skills to replace their unhealthy coping skills in order to help them meet their full potential.
My Approach
I take pride in empowering my clients and helping them recognize their strengths and abilities so they can begin to believe in themselves. I use evidence-based practices to help my clients heal and grow. My approach always caters to the individual needs of each client and is often combined methods of psychotherapy. I assist my clients in developing tolerance and resilience to become comfortable with change. Change, whether good or bad, can be uncomfortable as people often submit to their unhealthy circumstances due to many factors, including real or perceived fear- whether it’s fear of loss, the anticipation of guilt and/or regret, or uncertainties.
