Child & Adolescent Therapist
Position Overview
As a therapist at SF Stress and Anxiety Center, your role will include the following responsibilities:
- Maintain a caseload of at least 10 clients per week or more
- Dedicate a minimum of 15 hours per week to client sessions and administrative tasks
- Keep your professional license up to date with either the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or the California Board of Psychology
- Complete progress notes in a timely manner
- Attend mandatory yearly meetings, which serve as an opportunity to stay informed about any policy or procedural changes within the organization
- Most importantly, you should be passionate about working with children, and their families, and collaborating with a team
- Be flexible and open to collaboration and professional growth
- Be eager to build a caseload
Requirements
- Have a Doctorate (Ph.D., PsyD) or Master’s in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or Social Work from an Accredited University
- Have a California Psychologist License or California LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC License
- Have relevant clinical experience working with children (12 and under) and their caregivers using Evidence-Based Practice
- Understand the HIPAA requirements for mental health records and substance abuse records, and maintain appropriate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards
